Offline Subtitling Service

Professionally made subtitles will hardly be noticed by the viewer.  However, poorly produced ones are the quickest way to turn your viewers off, and they just may do the same to you.

We’ve all been at the gym on the stairmaster in the watching the closed-captioning files roll across the screen:  “Are all captions and subtitles this inaccurate”?

Well, no, to be exact, but most people don’t know the difference.   Subtitling is the translation and condensed interpretation of on-screen dialogue displayed as text and embedded into the media.  Like translation itself, it is an art, not a science.

Closed-Captioning is a similar process but the significant difference is that there is no translation involved as it is primarily English-to-English and no translation is involved.

Subtitling and Closed-captioning behemoths can be very effective but some have also lost sight of what matters most:  Simple accuracy and placement.   We are a medium-sized boutique business and we have a different level of focus and appreciation.

Size matters when you purchase a car or television.  But it doesn’t apply here.

Our workflow process is simple:  Send us your media either digitally through our FTP (File-Transfer-Protocol) on DVD or VHS with BITC (Burned-In-Time-Code) and if you have any existing script, text or text-file that is relevant to the material that will also greatly help speed up the process.
